Thanks to a statewide partnership with Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) of South Carolina, the Jefferson Awards Foundation is reaching students in 27 high schools across the state with Students In Action!  JAG is a nationwide high school dropout prevention program focused on academic success and career readiness skills.  JAG includes a community service component as part of its curriculum, making it a natural fit for Students In Action.  In each of the JAG affiliated schools across SC, a dedicated career specialist functions as a teacher, coach, counselor, and SIA program coordinator for students who face barriers to graduating from high school.  Through SIA the JAG students in SC are seen as service champions by their peers, all while gaining the leadership and life skills necessary to successfully graduate and move on to post-secondary success.  JAG currently serves over a thousand active high school participants in SC and the Jefferson Awards Foundation is honored to have JAG as a statewide partner!
